The weather has been perfect as of late for kite flying. The winds are steady and the rain is mostly gone so the fields have tried out. When summer is really here the winds will regularly be 15-20 mph, which is a bit high for a lot of kites, but right now it's about 10-15 which is fantastic. And who can argue with a view like this. We got to fly in the prime spot at Caesar Chavez park in Berkeley on this occasion, which is a small area right on the water's edge looking over the bay to Alcatraz and the Golden Gate. There is plenty of space at the park for everyone to fly, even on a busy weekend, but nothing compares to this view. NIKON D80
