| Often I find the textures in an image to be just as interesting as the primary subject. This is really driven home in this photograph. It can take a moment to realize what one is looking at here, which is several gulls flying low over some cresting waves. With the birds just large enough to add some context, and the image converted to b&w, the texture of the light playing across the ocean waves becomes the true subject of this photo. While perhaps a little abstract, I still enjoy it. |
