| Moving water, such as in the fountain display above, can be quite a trick to capture. For the most part, it's all about the shutter speed. Of course it also depends what you're trying to capture. Take this composition for example. If I'd slowed things down a bit, the water would all end up one big blur, or if I'd sped up the shutter everything might look too frozen in space. It's really a matter of taste. For me, this image captures just the right amount of motion, such that the viewer can imagine the spray coming off the fountain and cooling them down on a hot summer day. |
